Транексамова кислота-Здоров`я is a medication intended for the prevention and treatment of bleeding. It is effective in cases of generalized or local fibrinolysis in adult patients and children aged 1 year and older.

Composition

The preparation contains the active substance — tranexamic acid. The concentration is 50 mg of tranexamic acid per 1 ml of the preparation. Water for injections is used as an excipient.

Indications

The preparation is used for various types of bleeding, including: menorrhagia and metrorrhagia (uterine bleeding). It is indicated for gastrointestinal bleeding and bleeding from the urinary tract. It is also used to treat bleeding after ENT surgeries, gynecological interventions, or major surgical operations (including cardiovascular surgery).

Pharmacological properties

Tranexamic acid has an antihemorrhagic effect because it inhibits the fibrinolytic properties of plasmin. In the body, it forms a complex with plasminogen, which reduces the activity of this complex toward fibrin compared to free plasmin. In children aged 1 year and older, the preparation helps reduce blood loss and the need for blood products during cardiac surgeries with cardiopulmonary bypass.
