About ФІРІАЛТА

ФІРІАЛТА is a medicinal product containing finerenone as the active ingredient. The product is available in the form of tablets coated with a film coating, with dosing of 10 mg or 20 mg of finerenone.

Composition

Each tablet contains the active ingredient finerenone. The auxiliary components include microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

The film coating of the 10 mg tablet contains titanium dioxide, talc, iron oxide red, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The film coating of the 20 mg tablet contains titanium dioxide, talc, iron oxide yellow, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

Indications

The preparation is intended for the treatment of adult patients with chronic kidney disease accompanied by albuminuria and associated with type 2 diabetes.

Pharmacological Properties

Finerenone is a selective non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist. Its action is directed at blocking the genes responsible for the development of inflammatory and fibrotic processes that are activated by aldosterone and cortisol.

Clinical studies (FIDELIO-DKD and FIGARO-DKD) have confirmed the efficacy of the drug in patients with chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes. A 31-32% reduction in the albumin-to-creatinine ratio in urine was observed after 4 months of treatment.
