About Lidoxan Strawberry

Lidoxan® Strawberry lozenges contain chlorhexidine diglucloride and lidocaine hydrochloride for antiseptic and local anaesthetic relief in the mouth and throat.

Composition

Each lozenge contains 5 mg chlorhexidine diglucloride and 1 mg lidocaine hydrochloride. Excipients: menthol, anhydrous citric acid, strawberry flavour, sucralose, magnesium stearate, sorbitol (E 420).

Indications

Inflammatory and infectious conditions of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa with pain on swallowing and irritation.

Pharmacological properties

Lidocaine hydrochloride blocks sodium ion entry into nerve fibres, raising the threshold for excitation and slowing impulse conduction, giving analgesia without complete nerve block.
