About ХОНДРОСАТ
ХОНДРОСАТ is a medicinal product containing sodium chondroitin sulfate as the active substance. This substance is a high‑molecular‑weight mucopolysaccharide, which is the main component of proteoglycans in cartilage tissue.
Composition
The composition includes sodium chondroitin sulfate at a concentration of 100 mg/ml, as well as excipients: benzyl alcohol and injection water.
Indications
ХОНДРОСАТ is used for the treatment of degenerative‑dystrophic joint and spine diseases, such as primary osteoarthritis, intervertebral osteochondrosis, osteoarthritis. The drug is also used for the treatment of osteoporosis, periodontal diseases, fractures, and for the treatment of post‑surgical joint complications.
Pharmacological properties
ХОНДРОСАТ inhibits the degeneration process and stimulates cartilage tissue regeneration, exerting chondroprotective, anti‑inflammatory, and analgesic effects. The drug replaces the joint cartilage's sodium chondroitin sulfate, which is catabolized by pathological processes, and suppresses the activity of enzymes that cause joint cartilage degradation.
